Ewe Union
Norway (EweNor)
Ewe Union Norway (EweNor) is a vibrant and inclusive community organization dedicated to uniting individuals of Eʋe (Ewe) heritage living across Norway. Our membership reflects the rich cultural and geographic diversity of the Ewe people, with roots spanning Ghana, Togo, Benin, Nigeria, Ivory Coast and the wider diaspora. Despite our varied backgrounds, we are connected by a shared language, history, and cultural identity that we are proud to preserve and promote.
EweNor serves as a cultural, social, and support network for its members, fostering a strong sense of belonging and community in a foreign land. We are committed to celebrating our heritage through cultural events, traditional festivals, educational initiatives, and community gatherings that showcase Ewe music, dance, language, and customs. At the same time, we strive to create opportunities for cultural exchange, helping to bridge our traditions with Norwegian society and promote mutual understanding.
Beyond cultural preservation, EweNor also provides a platform for networking, mentorship, and mutual support among members, helping individuals and families navigate life in Norway while staying connected to their roots. Through unity, respect, and shared purpose, we aim to empower our community, inspire future generations, and ensure that the rich legacy of the Ewe people continues to thrive wherever we are.
